Clemente Capasso graduated in Electrical Engineering and awarded his PhD from the University of Naples Federico II. After a 3 years experience in the corporate consulting sector, since 2010 he works as a research technologist for the Institute of Science and Technology for Sustainable Energy and Mobility of the National Research Council of Italy. His main research activities are related to the experimental study of electric drives for propulsion, innovative storage systems, with particular reference to hybrid solutions based on the combined use of batteries and super-capacitors, power architectures to support integration with the electric-grid of renewable sources and sustainable mobility. Since 2019, he also collaborates with the Italian Minister of Development with the role of technical expert for the evaluation of research and development projects. He is associate editor of the e-Prime Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy Journal, published by Elsevier, and guest editor of different special issues related to storage systems and electric vehicles. He also regularly gives support as reviewer for prestigious international scientific journals and is co-author of more than 40 papers published in international scientific journal and conference proceedings.
