Fabrizio Reale received his MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and his PhD in Mechanical Systems Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II. Since 2012, he has been a Researcher at the Institute of Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Energy and Mobility (CNR-STEMS), Italy.
He served as Vanguard Chair (2017–2019) and Chair (2019–2021) of the ASME-IGTI Microturbines, Turbochargers and Small Turbomachines Committee. Since 2019, he has been an expert evaluator of industrial R&D projects for the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and has reviewed research proposals for Italian and Belgian institutions. He is a member of the Review Board of the journal Energies and has served as Guest Editor for several Special Issues.
His research focuses on numerical modelling of advanced energy systems, waste heat recovery technologies, Organic Rankine Cycles, supercritical CO₂ power cycles, hydrogen and biofuel applications, internal combustion engines, gas turbines, and CFD modelling of complex multiphase flows.
