The technology transfer towards the relevant sector represents a relevant aspect as a fallout of the Institute’s competence pool. This area includes all those activities related to standardization and certification that can be addressed to direct industrial clients, but also to the European Commission, Ministries, International, European and National standardization bodies for the development or redefinition of procedures, laws and regulations. The research activities are directed to different industrial sectors: production and use of energy, mobility, machines and agriculture. The activities are developed thanks to the wide spectrum of skills of the institute staff, which is able to offer technologies and solutions to industrial needs and interest, with particular attention to the aspects of safety, reliability and ergonomics and more generally to sustainability (economic , environmental and social) of systems, products and processes.
