Christian Preti obtained his degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences at the University of Turin in 2003. From 2004 to 2011 he has been a research fellow at the CNR IMAMOTER in Turin within the research programs on "exposure to the vibrations of operators of off-road vehicles ”and on the“ study of the damping effectiveness of end-of-stroke pads for industrial vehicles ”. Since July 2011 he is a researcher at the CNR IMAMOTER (Institute for Agricultural and Earthmoving Machines) in Turin now STEMS (Institute of Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Energy and Mobility). He carries out measurement and experimentation activities in the field of noise and vibrations in the ergonomics of operating machines. The activity carried out consists in measuring the noise and vibration levels in the industrial, agricultural and forestry sectors; data analysis and characterization of sound and vibration sources.

From 2013 to 2019 he has been member of the Scientific Council of the Institute Imamoter. Since 2014 he has been a representative of the CNR in the UNI working groups of the UNI / CT / 002 Acoustics and Vibrations Technical Commission (U20). In 2015 he has been appointed representative of the CNR as coordinator of the UNI / CT002 / GL37 working group "Operational guidelines for the preparation of information on noise emissions from machines". He conducts educational activity at the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Sciences of the University of Turin and is co-supervisor of five degree theses in Forestry and Environmental Sciences. He is in the commission for the evaluation of the project proposals of the MiSE calls. Expert technician in environmental acoustics registered in the National Register since 2007.
