Experimental activity on optically accessible and real internal combustion engines.

Analysis of performance and emission of internal combustion engines fueled with alternative fuels both liquid and gaseous.

Optical techniques based on flame spectroscopy, two-color pyrometry and digital visualization for diagnostic of injection and combustion processes.

Study of the formation mechanisms of the main pollutants of internal combustion engines, both gaseous and solid.

Characterization of particle emissions from both exhaust and non-exhaust sources with focus on the sub-23 nm particles.

Agnese Magno (AM) received the Master Degree cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from the Second University of Naples in 2011 and the PhD from the University of Naples Federico II in 2015. From June 2015 to October 2016 she was temporary researcher at Istituto Motori of CNR. Her research work dealt with experimental investigation on combustion evolution, exhaust emissions and waste heat recovery potentiality of internal combustion engines fueled with alternative fuels, both liquid and gaseous. From 2016 to 2019, AM worked in FCA in the Validation and Fleet team. From 2019, she is tenured researcher at STEMS and her research study regards the particle emissions from both exhaust and non-exhaust sources with focus on the sub-23 nm particles and the use of carbon neutral fuels, as hydrogen.
